Besides the injuries, firecrackers are nuisance when in the hands of inconsiderate neighbours. I have a Msian Chinese neighbour who takes pride in disturbing people with firecrackers. Bad reflection of themselves, hopefully karma gets to them one day to be blown into a million pieces. They deserved it for all their bad deeds.

I think those people who get injured while playing with firecracker aren't very smart. Probably stupid. If your neighbour is a nuisance, either do the same to him or report to the police.

I think not stupid but careless based on what I read in Msia newspapers. Usually they went to check why firecrackers no light up and that's when it exploded in their face or hand. Sometimes could be low quality ones that malfunctioned based on what I read.
My Msian Chinese neighbour are pretty skilled in lighting up firecrackers and dashing back to their house to hide like a thief, so by the time I checked they are no where in sight. No evidence no talk. And in Msia it is acceptable to play firecrackers any day any time anywhere so report police on this is difficult. This is an illegality that the Msian Chinese and Indians exploited and relished, they don't complain about this and don't look in the mirror when they complain the illegality of their politicians in particular 2.6b. I read in the Msia papers about how playing firecrackers becomes a tool for Msia Chinese to flaunt their wealth to see who played the most and the biggest firecrackers.
Anyway I have never played firecrackers in my life and didn't feel I miss anything. After my experience in Msia, I am glad I didn't participate in such activity that disturbed the peace of others. Firecrackers are best played centralised in an open space without residential neighbours. No disturbance to others and nice really big ones with interesting patterns instead of one hundred mediocre ones played by different neighbours that are basically the same boring shit pattern that I am immuned to by now. I hope my neighbour burn all their money away and eventually burn themselves in the process for the bad deeds they have done.
