Leanne Abeyance experienced severe facial disfigurement after a "Turkey teeth" procedure, where improperly placed implants led to a massive bacterial infection, destroying the upper jawbone and collapsing her nose. This occurred because the roots of the upper teeth sit directly beneath the sinus cavity, allowing for a direct pathway of infection that caused the structural support of the nose to cave in.
