You're lucky that momma cat understands you mean the kitten no harm. Certain cats will become EXTREMELY aggressive if they hear their kittens making that cry for help and see you holding it.

The person carrying that kitten is a dumb bitch. You are not suppose to lift the kitten like that. It'll cause the kitten pain and hard to breath. You are suppose to lift the kitten by pinching behind the neck to carry it.
