If Iran gets its way extorting fees of $2 mil per ship, all Malays will suffer the consequent permanent global inflation. It's not just Trump against Iran on this, all the Arab Musim countries will directly suffer if they have to pay Iran fees to use Hormuz Strait. They won't acquiesce without putting up a fight. Does Trump have the political will to apply enough pressure on Iran's economy to peel away Iran's Islamic terrorist hands from Hormuz Strait holding the world economy hostage?
