NATO expansion did not begin with Biden. It started a long time ago under President bush, with US intention to put missiles defence plan in Poland and Czech republic.

Prophecy: There will not be a Russian invasion of Ukraine - not in 2022. Those who wish for a war between Russia and Ukraine would be disappointed.

Political analysis: The only way for this war to happen is for NATO to admit Ukraine as a member. I think Putin made it clear that if Ukraine joins NATO, it will lead to WW III, and likely an all-out nuclear war.

The Russians are not that dumb to invade Ukraine. Occupation of Ukraine gains nothing other than getting into a political and economic quagmire; fighting insurgency is never a money making business.

NATO too is not that dumb to start a third world war by allowing Ukraine to join NATO, not in the foreseeable future.

It is said Ukraine changed their constitution after they lost Crimea and enshrine their ultimate aim to join NATO in their constitution. Lookout for third world war when leaders of Europe become stupid.

A sovereign nation can do anything it likes - as long as it is OK. It is not OK for Ukraine to allow US bases on Russia's border with nuclear missiles pointed towards Moscow. Russia is not any weakling country to acquiesce to that.
