Video of semi-topless woman at club prompts probe

PETALING Jaya City Council (MBPJ) will investigate claims of a video showing a semi-topless woman dancing in an intoxicated state allegedly at a bar in the city.

MBPJ public relations officer Zainun Zakaria said the council would check whether the incident took place in Petaling Jaya as alleged, based on comments by people who had viewed the video on Facebook.

“If we find out that the outlet does not have a business or entertainment licence, we will take appropriate action,” said Zainun.

The three-minute video, in two parts, has garnered more than 2,000 shares on Facebook via a community page called “Intimate Love” in the past two days.

There is even speculation that the woman could have been drugged.

“Where drugs are concerned, it is out of our jurisdiction. We will leave that to the police,” Zainun said.

When contacted, the outlet manager said he was unaware of the incident.

“Someone showed me the video on Monday and I contacted our marketing department to check if such an incident had taken place at any of our outlets,” he said.
