Law societies are bunch of stoners.

Result of silencing tactics by the PAP when they had to deal with Francis Seow.

Every dissendents are being classified as insane only PAP supporters are sane.

Same as saying all religious people are crazies and free thinkers who can dream of any crazy possible things are sane people.

What the Law Society needs is a bunch of lawyers grouping together and take over it like AWARE.

But knowing our state, the LS will just be closed down if that happens.

MAD RAVI is bloody no standard, why confront with law society clerks? they are only clerks.

Lawyers are only out to con their clients. They dont have the balls to takeover the Law Society. It is an impotent entity. No amount of Viagra can bring it up.

This is how a real PROFESSIONAL speaks, with gravitas and authority. Lightning strike so much irrational fear in ball-less Sinkies that only Gila people will dare to speak out against the crazy things going on in Sinkieland? It's about a MOVEMENT and not individuals and personalities!

No lah, what Sinkieland needs is a bunch of lawyers to form another society. This Shame-mugam did say and it is recorded in the Hansard that lawyers are free to form their own societies, just that these will not have the statutory powers of the Law Society and membership will not be compulsory. By the way, I am not a lawyer, just a layman with good memory and unfortunately have to deal with lots of other types of professions in the line of my work. You mean Sinkieland only have regressive and porlumpar "professionals", no Progressive Ones?

A group of 50 young lawyers have set up a new group aimed at upholding the rule of law and promoting democracy.

At their first press conference, the Progressive Lawyers Group rejected the framework that Beijing laid down for Hong Kong's future chief executive election, saying it wouldn't give voters a genuine choice.

"It is a platform for younger members of the profession to speak out on fundamental issues like rule of law, justice and other fundamental issue," said Kevin Yam, a convener of the group.

He told RTHK's Jim Gould they have nothing against Law Society or the Bar Association. "They have formal role as they are statutory bodies, we are more of a civil society type of body," he said.

haha, I think the REALITY in Singapore speaks for itself.

The REALITY is that those who are not prepared to FIGHT for freedom DO NOT DESERVE TO HAVE IT! That's why I stay away from Sinkies :D

This botak echoes my call for eternal vigilance ... ...
