China invaded tibet and had battle with India and Vietnam. And wanted to take Over Mongolia if soviets had not defended that country.

SINGAPORE China edges out the United States as South-east Asia’s preferred superpower by a narrow margin, if countries in the region were forced to choose between the two major powers, a survey has found.The findings, published in the ISEAS – Yusof Ishak Institute’s The State Of South-east Asia 2024 report on April 2, indicated a notable shift in sentiments among respondents from the region, who had leaned towards the US in the last four surveys.
Among the 1,994 respondents polled across the 10 Asean nations, 50.5 per cent indicated China as their preferred choice, while 49.5 per cent selected the US, when asked a hypothetical question on which country the region should choose if it was forced to align itself with either.
In the 2023 survey, only 38.9 per cent of respondents picked China, with 61.1 per cent opting for the US.
The 2024 survey was conducted online from Jan 3 to Feb 23, and polled respondents from academia, think-tanks, research groups, businesses, civil society, the media and regional or international organisations, as well as governments. Eligibility criteria were tightened in this edition and respondents were screened on various criteria such as nationality, age, affiliation, education, general knowledge of Asean and level of interest in current affairs.
Respondents could take the survey in one of six language options: English, Bahasa Indonesia, Burmese, Khmer, Thai and Vietnamese.

Why the USA is so afraid of China?
US is not afraid of China. US does not tolerate competition. Look at the history of the US. They fought and won against superpowers britan, then Spain, the WWII, forced UK and france to dismantle its empire, when japan grew too big, forced japan to mellow down and until today decades later, they have not recovered.
Ukraine is about destroying EU-Russia alliance. And it worked. a EU working with russia was a rival to US dominance militarily, economically and in technology.
Now the focus is on China. This one i think US left it too late and China is a rival that has almost same capability. It will be the start of a new cold war.
US wants to dominate the world but Russia and China want their own sphere of influence too. Russia wants to control Europe. China wants to dominate Asia. If US controls Americas, Russia and China will not bother. So, if we want world peace then US shouild just stick to its own backyard which is the Americas.

It is already a de facto Cold War. The US is now agitating for WW3 by Ukrainising Taiwan to trigger a proxy war with China, hoping to reset the world economic and financial system to offset its giant ballooning debt which is projected to grow to USD131 trillion by 2054. The rest of the world is collateral damage.
The problem is, unlike WW2, the US might not win this time.
