I have reservations regarding the Iranian Foreign Minister’s proposal for a new ceasefire deal with the U.S. following his meeting with Putin. Historical precedents suggest that Putin remains strategically aligned with the U.S. and the West, despite the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. This is evident from two key instances: first, during the unrest in Venezuela, over 40 Cuban security forces were killed while Russian personnel remained unharmed. Second, during the 12-day Iran-Israel war in June 2025, Putin informed Tehran before the conflict began that Russia did not intend to provide any support.
I believe Putin is trying hard to get favor from Trump to help him settle the Ukraine Russia war
