can anybody recommend what software can be used to mask or filter certain portions of a video,so that viewers can't recognise or see the face or certain part,something like mosaic.

I am trying virtual dub but not easy yo use...

The process of masking the genitals is called mosaic-ing. Basically it is quite a complex technique that requires some knowledge of 3D design and motion effects. You do need to know tracking, because the subjects in the picture are never static. If you ask me it is quite a tedious and rigorous process, and I think the Japs have specialised people working just on this.

Software like Adobe After Effects and Combustion have this mosaic feature, but these are high end applications, and they are bloody expensive
