This incident would prove valuable information for US military intelligence analysts.

1. The F15 was shot down by a rogue terrorist irgc unit from the southern coast near the highly bombed Hormuz Straits, Hormuz Island, which reveals that the sector still have radar and missiles system in operation, which means a sector to be destroyed.

2. US aerial rescue crafts were shot at, BUT not with missiles, only by bullets, which may means that the terrorist irgc air defense system and missiles are limited in that sector.

3. US aerial rescue crafts were shot at by small arms fire, including the A10 which was flying slowly to find the missing pilot and thus the aircraft was vulnerable. Fortunately those rescue teams were only slightly injured and the A10 pilot ejected and was rescued almost immediately.
