redundant yes that esplanade stop. Not meant for the poor anyway. Most go by car. More conspicious are the places they ignored Bt Timah etc. Why they still vote the way they did is beyong me

esplanade apparently is a tourist attraction and for major events to be hosted. the fact that you don't require it doesn't mean it is redundant.

One of the exit is the old SAFRA...or in the past NAFFI ( you must be old enough, to know what it stands for), one of the exit you to the Memorial to the civilians that died during WWII....guess , that is where your tourists is going..unless you are going there to pay homage...

I have got off the Esplanade Station by accident ( dreaming) & found myself out in the middle of nowhere...very puzzling...wondered too whhy they need a station there??

Maybe they already have plans for that place
They are probably going to build a statue of a great person & expect plenty of worshippers to visit the place
