The US is overwhelmed with numerous complex issues simultaneously, spanning Eastern and Western Europe, the Middle East, East Asia, and its own backyard, making it difficult to prioritize and address any one area effectively.

China is reportedly supporting Russia indirectly by channeling funds through North Korea, which supplies soldiers, unlimited ammunition, and weapon systems. This appears to be a strategic counterbalance to the well-known support the US and EU are providing to Ukraine.

The United States and China share a tacit understanding that neither Russia nor the European Union should be allowed to achieve a decisive victory. A dominant winner could consolidate power and form a greater Europe, potentially creating a third superpower, which would not serve the interests of either China or the United States.
A clear example of a fractured EU is how the US could potentially take control of Greenland, Iceland, or Sweden with ease. Meanwhile, China benefits significantly from Russia through access to cheap oil and, in the future, may even seek the return of certain territories.
