There's not a single policy of his that I consider to be stupid.

All his primary goals ie a rebalance of the trade system, increase in energy output, closing the border, expelling violent/criminal illegals, cutting billions in waste to balance the budget, reducing taxes ALL nothing more than common sense that any President should be concentrating on.

You don't need a genius to implement common sense policies all you need is common sense PLUS the balls to go against the entrenched establishment that want to maintain the status quo because if benefits them financially and politically.

Rebalancing trade system? China has a trade surplus with almost every partner it trades with. Because they make the goods that all of us need and use. The US needs to move away from their industries of decades past, because they can't compete with China on those. They should focus on exporting services (financial, entertainment, software etc) and hi tech products including miltech, because those are about the only things it does well and are in demand worldwide.

I'll say it again. We are giving Trump way too much credit, thinking he knows what he's doing when he doesn't. He fires from the hip, does things based on feelings, and is incapable of seeing things beyond tomorrow. My views on what's wrong with him and his administration can be revisited :
