Update on released prisoner

This is an update on a matter that I sought advice previously in this forum.

The guy was asked to leave. According to the boss, fast learner, smart, capable but began manipulating the weaker ones and the stronger ones got upset. When I went to see him at the boss office, he clamped up and just stood there. The boss, an acquaintance told me not to call him again on this scheme.

Get him a job in another country.

And get a new name before going.

Being an ex-convict, any mis-step or short-coming will be magnified and can never be tolerated compared to someone who has a clean sheet. There are funny characters in the workplace and usually the boss would talk to them to give warning but ex-convicts do not have this privilege anymore. Some intelligent ones can be independent and integrate back into society fast while others might not tell you what was exactly in their minds. It takes lot of time and effort to gain their trust to make them open up so that you can help them fix whatever wrong mindset they have for them to re-integrate back into society. Never an easy task but just got to keep trying. :(
