Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Community Development, Youth and Sports Sam Tan, said the City Harvest Church members' support for their leaders is understandable.

He said the public's response to the court case has been forthcoming and rational.

"It is understandable, that there will always be supporters to the leaders, and it is also completely understandable for them to express their support to their leaders. And it is also completely understandable for people who hold different views, to also express such views.

"So I hope that whether supporters, or people who are having a different opinion, can express such opinions in a very rational manner so as to encourage further discourse.

"I think in the process of court hearing, we will let the law take its course to decide whether all those points are substantiated or not.

"I think so far, it's been forthcoming, by and large, still quite rational."

In a statement released yesterday, City Harvest Church (CHC) said it stands by the five members of the church who have been charged with misuse of church funds.

Mr Aries Zulkarnain, the executive pastor and a founding member of the church, said that Commissioner of Charities (COC) has confirmed that Mr Kong Hee, the senior pastor, and Mr Tan Ye Peng, the deputy senior pastor will continue to preach at the church. CHANNEL NEWSASIA

Sam Tan DARE not to say that CHC is misguided - he wants to be politically correct RATHER than judiciary ERECT !!!

So in the end PAP MPs are still the historicically known PAP MPs. They claimed they understand Sinkapoor, want to change - hahahah who is KIDDING who? Even my balls also laughed.

He said "completely understandable". Another way to say, "We surrender completely!". See how easily the FAP can be brought on its knees? Only the 60% gong kias are gong enough not to see this.

How is it possible to have a rational discourse with the brainwashed? You cite facts, they retort with unsubstantiated beliefs. Their logic is tautological: their god is real because they really can feel that god is real.

What will happen when those people die and realized there is no heaven or God?

It's just like football betting. They're betting on the existence of an afterlife and they think the odds of them going to heaven is very good.

So they take a bet.

Lucky they didn't arrest Islamic leaders for corruption.

Suicide bombings will happen around the country.

Is that why there is no Islamic leaders charged for corruption?

Hindu law mini star got no balls.

Actually, can a member of the public make a police report of
an illegal assembly? And are police obligated to respond?
