How about when organising dinners or outings for the residents, do the volunteers pay - at the same rate - as the rest of the participants when the volunteers join such trips?

In the first place, why is there a need to go conference in HCM city for a grassroot activity in Singapore? How does it benefit the residents, especially the poorer residents in Ulu Pandan constituency?

I used to work in a charitable organisation and have seen people going to USA and HK for conference and I wondered then what benefits are there to the charity receipients for these people going on such conference.

The subsidise is only enough to hold a half day conference in Singapore. So the main bulk is still paid by the Grassroot themselves. The wealthier one are volunteerly contributing extra to the event. You do not need to if you do not want. So do not twist the facts.

We are all human. We definitely will compare things and most of them will think they are fortunate to be in Singapore.
I assume you are the one that contributing to the disgrace manner or else how you know.

They are subsidised. They get funding from one or two entities linked to PA.
If money still no enough, the wealthier chaps will LL come out some extra $$$ to pay for those less able.

When they go HCM city, I am sure they will act like MIW there - condemning everything that is not to their liking or expectation. They will also rush for food and eat in a disgraceful manner. These CCC people are mostly porlumpars type.

Did I say I did not pay? For your info, we pay the same rate as residents. Worst part we need to top up the balance if it was over budget.

Such trips are always not necessary. No need to go overseas. S'pore is a small country but I am sure there is at least 1 suitable location to achieve the same objective(s).

Even when civil servants attend conferences etc overseas, it is usually for golf games. The stated objective of such overseas trips always fall behind golf games.
