An actor who starred in the soap Hollyoaks has been jailed for 11 years for raping two women - one of whom while she was asleep.
Rizwan Khan, 40, was also sentenced for causing unnecessary suffering to a child after slapping the child across the face, as well as for sexually assaulting one of the women he raped.
Teesside Crown Court heard how Khan told one of his victims, who repeatedly refused to have sex with him: 'I need what I need. I want what I want. You, as a woman, should abide by what a man wants' before he raped her.
She told police the actor had raped her after she told him 'no', adding that 'in the end I just let him' out of fear he would assault her if she declined, The Sun reported.
After Khan forced himself on the victim, she managed to kick him off, the barrister explained.
The 40-year-old then strangled the woman against a wall before she managed to flee from the property.
The court heard how he punched and slapped the same woman, but was violent towards both women.
His second victim woke up to find Khan assaulting her in the horrific attack.

In 2019, Khan starred in several Hollyoaks episodes as Doctor Peak, and once again as a paramedic a year later
The soaps actor, from Middlesbrough, denied a string of charges against him but was convicted after standing trial in August of raping two women and sexually assaulting one of them.
He was also found guilty of child cruelty and cleared of four other counts of rape. He was sentenced to 11 years and nine months today.
Khan stood emotionless in the dock as the prosecutor read out statements from his two victims.
One victim said she has anxiety and recurrent nightmares, saying: 'What he did goes round and round in my head. When I see his face in the newspaper, I feel sick.'
In 2019, Khan starred in several Hollyoaks episodes as Doctor Peak, and once again as a paramedic a year later.
He also featured as a parent in Everybody's Talking About Jamie in 2021, as well as appearing on This is England this year.
The 40-year-old has also starred in Holby City and two episodes of ITV detective drama, Vera.
Andrew Stranex, defending, told the court his client continued to deny the offences, saying 'it would be quite bizarre if he said he did it after standing trial.'

Mr Stranex added: 'He is concerned about his parents and their healthcare.
'Any account saying there's social care available, doesn't take into account the level of his care for them.'
The judge on the case, Paul Reid, said of Khan: 'Your pre-sentence report says you demonstrate entitlement and hostility towards females.'
Khan, from Union Street in central Middlesbrough, was jailed for 11-years-nine-months and will sign the sex offenders' register for the rest of his life, as well as having restraining orders in place prohibiting him from contacting the three victims.
During his trial, Khan told the court that he worked in a call centre for a financial company in Stokesley before pursuing his dream of acting at the age of 34.
The father-of-one said that as acting jobs began to come in six years ago, he started going to the gym everyday.
He appeared in Hollyoaks, Holby City and ITV's Vera.
On his IMDb page, the actor claimed to help people with 'mental health challenges' as well as providing support for 'single fathers navigating the often complex family court system'.
