The protection of the Covid-19 booster vaccination against infection with omicron is less than the protective effect against the delta variant. An unaudited recent report by the Covid-19 team at Imperial College London estimates that the risk of reinfection with the omicron variant is 5.4 times greater than the risk with Delta.
