I know I should post bad service stories to STOMP but ... 
Just collected my replacement Western Digital HDD from Achieva Technology Pte Ltd. They are a distributor of Western Digital HDDs located at MacPherson Rd.
4 Weeks ago I went to get my HDD replaced because it failed. As usual they didn't have any stock & quoted a 2 to 3 weeks before they had a replacement. They told me "THEY WOULD CALL ME" when they had the replacement.
Waited & waited...until 4 weeks & still no call
When I called them I found out they had already received the replacement 2 weeks ago
When I asked why no one had called me 2 weeks ago, they just mumbled about must have tried but couldn't get through. Never mind that I gave them my handphone number & in the 2 weeks I didn't have any record of unknown calls.
We all know service standards in Spore is horrigible(not horrible) & companies like Achieva is the norm. So if you want to have the least problems always get the names of those who attended to you & follow up by frequent calls to get updates. Even if no one picks up, try, try, try again, eventually someone will pick up the phone.
Be prepare to pay extra $$$ to upgrade to a new model. Although they didn't offer me this option but it was offered to another customer who had 2 failed hdds.
