Two men arrested over break-in at private residence
SINGAPORE: Police said they have arrested two men, aged 27 and 35, who allegedly broke into a private residence at Choa Chu Kang.
In a statement on Friday, police said they received a report of the break-in at 9pm on 28 October.
Cash, jewellery and luxury watches amounting to more than S$40,000 were reported stolen.
The suspects allegedly gained access to the residence by scaling the boundary wall and prying open one of the sliding doors.
Following investigations, police traced and arrested the two suspects at Bayfront Avenue on Thursday.
They seized Singapore and foreign currencies amounting to some S$46,000 from the pair.
Other items seized include watches, screwdrivers, chisels and gloves.
Police said their preliminary investigations indicate that the two suspects could be associated with another three people arrested on Wednesday. - CNA/xq
