Two men arrested for robbery

SINGAPORE: The police have arrested two men, both aged 24, suspected of robbery.
Police suspect the two men robbed a 22-year-old man of his mobile phone around McNair Road at about 10.30pm on April 17.
The victim gave chase but lost sight of his assailants near Towner Road.
The first suspect was arrested at his residence in Chai Chee Avenue at about 11am on Wednesday.
His alleged accomplice was arrested in Geylang Bahru shortly after.
The suspects will be charged in court on Thursday with robbery with hurt, an offence which carries a jail term of up to 20 years and at least 12 strokes of the cane.
