Two footballers caught 'offside' in hotel rooms by religious officials
KUANTAN: Two Pahang footballers were caught on suspicion of having committing khalwat (close proximity) with women in their respective rooms at a hotel here Tuesday, according to a source.
The four were caught by enforcement officers of the Pahang Islamic Religious Department (Jaip) at about 4.30am, the source said.
The officers were tipped off by a member of the public who suspected that the unmarried footballers had checked in to the hotel with two women in their 20s.
The source said the footballers and the women were taken to the Jaip office for further investigation. - Bernama
