SINGAPORE: Transport Minister Lui Tuck Yew announced a fare reduction of up to 1.9 per cent at the end of the year.

Speaking to reporters at a preview of new Circle Line trains on Monday (Aug 3), Mr Lui said the adjustment will coincide with the opening of the second phase of the Downtown Line in December.

The adjustment will affect both train and bus fares, he said.
