Chitchat TT Durai was a piece of shit. Do you think his son will be a good man? Come in to find out.

That's why all these crap charities to milk sinkies sympathies. Latest is the megan charities. All hot air. She is already dead. What's there to honor? Honor the culprits and all those incompetents social workers and drug addicts responsible got her tortuous slow death?
Police told ST on Oct 23 that the police report stated Megan’s grandmother had not been in contact with Foo and Megan for some time, and there was no indication of child abuse.

Madam Chua said: “All I knew was the police was the biggest (organisation), and they could help Megan.”

The review panel’s report said the investigation officer (IO) assessed this was a case of child discipline with low safety concerns and told her officer-in-charge (OC) she would try to find Foo. The OC did not raise this report in case review sessions.

The IO stopped pursuing the matter after trying unsuccessfully for about two weeks to locate Foo and Megan. She was later deployed for Covid-19 pandemic duties.

The police found that the IO should have highlighted the case to her supervisor when she was unable to contact Foo. The IO has since resigned while the OC was handed a financial penalty

Meghan’s grandmother trusted the police will help Meghan. This is the result and poor Meghan’s grandmother is 68 years old and has a daughter in jail for 19 years n a dead grand daughter.

The IO probably have expected a 4 year old child to appear in front of her and tell her she is being abused and once the IO resign, we all know what kind of culture and person the IO is to avoid punishment

Meghan’s grandmother is the most pitiful one have to live with all that for the rest of her life

Ho Ching’s Courageous Stand

3–4 minutes

It takes courage to set off an opinion that runs against popular sentiment, particularly so if you hold a key public position.

This is precisely what Ho Ching, executive director of Singapore’s Temasek Holdings and wife of Prime Minister Lee Hisien Loong, has done in an attempt to accentuate some key points emerging from the NKF saga.

Published yesterday in Today, a serious tabloid distributed free at train stations, it was a well thought-out, objective analysis wherein she hardly found anything amiss in the pay package of T T Durai and the huge reserves built up by the NKF – two of the issues that had caused much chagrin among the people.

When Mrs Goh Chok Thong, former patron of the NKF, came up with the comment that a pay of S$600,000 was “peanuts” to a CEO who handled millions the day the controversy was blown out of proportion in the court, I thought that was a courageous stand as well. But when the public did not take kindly to that remark, she backtracked and regretted having said that.

Buffer to Weather Any Recession: Now, hats off to Ho Ching for her bold comments that she had no reason to “begrudge Mr Durai a proper and well-earned compensation and bonus. He probably earned less than what he would have earned if he had continued in his profession as a lawyer.” After all, as she says, he has made a difference to the NKF through his professionalism. On the question of reserves, she adds that it could be a sufficient buffer to weather a deep recession.

She also made it clear that if there has been corruption or misuse of funds, then let the relevant authorities investigate and take the case through due process for a fair and proper judgment.

I had also argued along similar lines in my blogs on July 14 (Media’s Seven Deadly Sins – ST Displays One in NFK Suit) and July 15 (Past Ruling on Microsoft and Funny Things in Singapore).

While Ho Ching’s remarks were made in her personal capacity, her defence of the NKF can help restore calm with the public still seething with anger.

Refreshing Reading: Her piece made refreshing reading, with The Straits Times continuing to present a one-sided view, pluming itself for what it perhaps assumes is the uncovering of a major scandal when it is not.

Even Sumiko Tan, one of the few ST journalists I have respect for, said just as much though appearing a bit confused in trying to present a balanced picture in her piece on Sunday (July 17). Most of the bloggers, too, have been flippant on the issue. This is hardly surprising as this space is generally filled by a huge bunch of immature people.

Luckily, we have Today for saner reporting. Small mercies.

So meaning nothing wrong what Durai has committed? For real?

Anyone notice that the best paying jobs and yet are most susceptible to scams are anything to do with charity and religion? All originated from the kindness of mankind. lol

thats becoz to the establishment, the pay and the benefits are given must haves for doing the job. The Istana toilets are probably gold plated as well.

They have climbed too high up the tree to remember where the roots are
