FBI has 'no comment' on Musk's 'Epstein files' allegation

Earlier today, we reached out to the FBI for a comment on Musk's allegation that Trump appears in unreleased files held by the government related to late billionaire sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

For context, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is the US's national investigative agency, which has handled information related to the disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.

"The FBI does not have a comment on the matter," it replied.

Just last week, tech billionaire Elon Musk got a warm send-off from US President Donald Trump as he stepped down from his role as a special employee for the US government.

But today, after the president said he was "disappointed" and "surprised" by Musk’s criticism of his tax and spending bill, Musk didn’t let it slide.

He took to X, calling the bill a “big, ugly spending bill,” and started a poll asking if it’s time to create a new political party “that actually represents the 80% in the middle.”

He’s pinned the poll to the top of his X account. At the time of writing, over 2.1 million have voted, with 81.9% saying “Yes”.

Trump responded, threatening to cancel Musk’s government contracts, saying Elon Musk “went CRAZY”.

Since then, Musk’s said Trump’s tariffs will cause a recession, and escalated things with an unverified claim about Jeffrey Epstein.

Trump’s latest: “I don’t mind Elon turning against me, but he should have done so months ago.”

Stay with us as this online feud, which could spill into real life, rumbles on.

What Elon Musk said: Musk, who spent hundreds of millions of dollars to help get Trump elected, said that the president was ungrateful and wouldn’t be sitting in the Oval Office without his support. Musk floated the idea of starting a third political party and agreed with a tweet that Trump should be impeached.
He also said Trump's name was in the files on disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein, which is why, he said, they haven't yet been released.

What Donald Trump said: The president said Musk, who stepped down last week from an administration role as a special government employee, was suffering from “Trump derangement syndrome” and that his opposition to the bill was because of the rollback of electric-vehicle tax credits in the measure. Trump also threatened to eliminate all government subsidies and contracts for Musk’s businesses.

President Trump, the poster-in-chief, may have finally been outmatched — by the owner of the social media platform he used to love.

Elon Musk posted fast and furiously against Trump on Thursday, wielding his X account like a political weapon, the same way he previously used it to trash President Biden and other Democrats.

Trump tried to keep up on his own, much smaller site, Truth Social, but the president was no match for a social media-addicted mogul who sometimes posts more than 100 times per day, even in the middle of the night.

While Trump has all the power of the American presidency, including 24/7 access to the world’s media, Musk has some advantages in this war of words too: A much bigger social media footprint than Trump and, lately, a willingness to play dirtier than the president.

Long before social media sites were invented, when newspaper publishers enjoyed wide influence, there was an old saying that people should “never pick a fight with a man who buys ink by the barrel.”

Now that old adage applies to the social media realm, and it is billionaire owners like Musk who have all the power.

And Musk is flexing it, with post after post that — true or not, juvenile or not — score attention, likes and shares.

If social media metrics can be believed, Musk’s posts instantly win many more eyeballs. Trump’s Truth Social reportedly has 6.3 million active users; Musk’s X has an estimated 600 million.

On Thursday, the feud played out rather strangely, on two separate social media sites, with Trump and Musk lobbing insults from their respective platforms, like two neighbors shouting at one another over the fence.

At one point, Musk even screenshotted one of Trump’s Truth Social posts to indirectly reply to the president.

Trump has no control over his gomen. That's the crux of the problem. Every cabinet member and even the senators are making their own rules and policies. Ukraine war over in 24 hours was what Trump promised. Look at the mess now.
Trump did not even know about the drone attack on russian nuclear bomber fleet. This feat could not have been executed without CIA or MI6 assistance.

Hmm.... This Saga is getting very interesting. I wonder what Ah Leong (aka @Leongsam) has to say in such a contradicting situation for him since he's always sucking up to both of them? Oh, I forgot he is just another BACO (Bosses Always Chicken Out) in this forum.

Trump is now considering the deportation of Musk. At the worst scenario, Trump will be assassinated by the richest person in the world by a hired killer.

Popcorn time. In a Trump vs Musk war I'm with Elon !!!! Elon is the best!
What a traitor? Didn't you always say: "Trump is the bestest of the best"? I think you are just another BACO (Bosses Always Chicken Out). LOL, What a loser you are?

To be truthful, both are arrogant bastards, only know how to enrich themselves, their family businesses and their cronies at the expense of the American peasants.
