Trio arrested for robbery with hurt

SINGAPORE - Police have arrested 3 male youths, aged between 16 and 19 for committing robbery with hurt at Woodlands St 82.
On March 9, 2013 at about 12.15am, a 35-year-old male victim was assaulted before being robbed of his mobile phone and laptop bag containing cash and credit cards at the ground floor lift lobby of a HDB block along Woodlands St 82.
Through investigations, police officers managed to establish the identities of the suspects.
The first suspect aged 16 years old was arrested at the vicinity of Woodlands St 81 on March 14, 2013 at about 7pm.
In follow-up operations, the second and third suspects were arrested on March 15, 2013 at about 11.30am and 2pm respectively.
The three suspects will be charged in court for the offence of robbery with hurt, which carries an imprisonment term of not less than 5 years and not more than 20 years, and not less than 12 strokes of the cane.
