Sunday Times front page headline:

Firms told to be responsible, sensitive if retrenching staff

They are also told to "lean in favour of Singapore citizens"

What a load of crap. Business owners' first principle is to SURVIVE, and then GROW back to
previous size. If it takes to retain more foreign workers than locals, so be it. It is a simple
matter - if they don't do that, locals won't have a chance to get a job when the business
is closed.

'Tripartism' has always been nonsense. Putting the govt in charge of a so-called 'labour union' is as asinine as putting govt officials in an NGO.

It only happens in totalitarian shitholes, for example, the Red Cross in China.

They even named a road after it... I rest my case. Remember 'Saddam International Airport'?
