Confirmation of the withdrawal of Mr M Ravi as legal counsel « Editorial « TR EMERITUS
http://www.tremeritus.com/2012/02/23/withdrawal-of-mr-m-ravi-as-legal-counsel/

We wish to confirm that Mr M Ravi is no longer acting for TR Emeritus (TRE) in the case involving Mr Lee Hsien Yang.

The team at TRE was only aware of this when our Singapore-based editor Richard Wan informed the team late in the evening, after he had excused Mr M Ravi.

According to the latest updates by Richard Wan, TRE is now represented by Senior Counsel Mr Kannan Ramesh of Tan Kok Quan Partnership.

At press time, Richard Wan informed the team that negotiations are underway at the office of Stamford Law and a settlement was in view.

TRE would like to thank Mr M Ravi for his invaluable advice.

The plot thickens. I'm seeing disjointed, haphazard actions from TRE. And possibly internal disagreements too.

Suspect Richard Wan will remove himself as editor in due time, when being the front man in an operation where no one else will reveal their names or faces sudden strikes him as being amazingly stupid.

TKQ and some of the lawyers in his firm were in Lee & Lee for the longest of times. I believe that TKQ had previously represented LKY too.

Ramesh's mum? Richard's mum?

or LHY's mum?

Haha, that sentence of yours could be used as a caption for his facial expression in the pic in this ST news article:

TR Emeritus editors apologise to PM Lee Hsien Loong

I think scroobal was referring to LHY's mother, i.e. LKY's late wife, who was the boss of "Lee & Lee" (http://www.leenlee.com.sg/en/about-us/brief-history.html ):
"Ramesh graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1990. He started his career with Messrs Lee & Lee and was made partner in 1996."

I have a strange feeling that Richard is a PAP mole to destroy TRE. Can anyone vouch on that?

This is the obvious solution for TRE's current woes.
