Ministry of Education, Singapore:

National exam candidates who are affected by train service delay between Tanah Merah and Pasir Ris stations are advised to inform their school as soon as possible and go to their exam centre before the end of the paper to sit for the exams.

Full paper duration would be given. No excuse letter from the train station is required.

Who should resign?

If the student can still take the exams then no need for anyone to resign.

If student missed and cold not take the exams its obvious the principal should resign because knowing the problems with the trains and the principal still blatantly did not build in any contingency when met with such an issue the principal should resign.

If this happen in the opposition ward then I'd say the MP should also resign.

Even if the student arrives on time (1 min early, instead of 20min early), the delay created unnecessary anxiety. The student starts taking the exam in distress, before he/she calms down.

If you think it's so easy not to have train disruptions...you do lor.

They will not resign-you have to vote them out-otherwise parliament will just clear them of any wrongs-own self clear own self

This is Singapore. No one of import resigns over anything. At the very most, low-ranking officials and public servants might be sacrificed as carrion to the prickly minority baying for blood.

Remember: Every mistake is an honest mistake, blame is a dirty word, and everybody moves on.

Very good point, this means that the student is weak and according to the law of evolution this student should resign.

All students who are delayed are at fault. Good students foresee train delays and factor in extra travelling time to arrive early at exam venue. Poor students who are delayed by trains only have themselves to blame.

Do Good Do Together. Long Live PAP.

All of them should resign. Those who refuse to resign should be sacked. :p

An army officer enters a GLC or Stat Board. He realized that he cannot follow the protocols and civilian civil servants look down on him. He is too used to an autocratic management style and decided to get himself surrounded by his kakis from army to be PH, so that he can continue to run the company or organisation like his army days. These kakis are only good for playing golf, taking kick-backs womanizing and accepting arrows, but again they do not how to get things done.
