16 March 2026: A trailer carrying supermarket goods collided with three vehicles along KM137.4 of the North-South Expressway heading north between Juru and Permatang Pauh, causing a massive traffic jam stretching up to 9km.
The crash involved a Hyundai Elantra, Proton X70 and Honda BR-V, with 12 people affected including a two-year-old girl. A 42-year-old man was reported seriously injured while several others sustained minor injuries. Two victims were trapped but were freed by members of the public before firefighters arrived. Authorities later cleared debris from the scene as injured victims were taken to hospital for further treatment.
