When you come back from JB via train, the Immigration Hall in Singapore is extremely small, and only about 3 automated gates. It's slower than the Immigration at JB when you take train from JB.

You need to go at 4am-5am, that's the time when most blue collar low SES workers commute to work. Definitely not crowded at that time.

I found out about this when I was a NS slave and had to book in to camp super early.
