The top primary six student this year is Alex Tan, 12, from Rosyth school, with an aggregate score of 282.

A total of 45,049 Primary 6 pupils sat for the PSLE this year. 97.3 per cent (43,826) are eligible to proceed to secondary schools.

Of these, 63.5% are eligible for the Express course, 22.1% for the Normal (Academic) and 11.7% for the Normal (Technical) course.

The top Malay student is 'Aqilah Dariah Mohd Zulkarnain from Coral Primary School who scored 278; top Indian pupil is Muhammad Hameem from Henry Park Primary School, with a score of 274.

The top Eurasian student this year is Lendermann Monika Jia-Xin, from CHIJ Our Lady Queen of Peace, who scored 269.

Other top students come from all over Singapore, including Tao Nan, Anglo-Chinese School, St Hilda's Primary School, Raffles Girls' Primary and CHIJ (Katong) Primary.

Rosyth primary school performed well this year, producing a total of three top students.

Pei Hwa Presbyterian and Nanyang primary schools each produced two top students.

For the 2.7 per cent of the cohort or 1,223 students who did not do well enough to enter secondary school, they have a choice of enrolling in Assumption Pathway School or NorthLight School, or re-taking their PSLE.

Parents can submit their choices of secondary schools for their child online via the Secondary One Internet System (S1-IS) that is accessible 24 hours a day from 12pm today to 3pm on Dec 1 2010. Alternatively, parents may submit their child’s secondary school options through their child’s primary school. Submission at the primary schools started from 12pm to 3pm today; and will continue from 9am to 3pm between Nov 26 and Dec 1 2010, excluding the weekend.
 
Score of 282? That was what I scored for my PSLE back then! But it was upon 400! :D
