55 years is when pension payout commence and also when cpf withdrawal commence but the two are on extreme ends. One from govt and other basically your own money safekeep by govt. If you are talking about retirement age , yes that is 62. Basically, I think most agree pension should start when you retire and that is at 62 years old and not start at 55. Did someone conveniently forget or maybe so far no one debate about this. But then again, someone said no retirement , so no need to pay them pension since they never retire and still earning active pay check.
