Sweden, with no lockdowns, ranks very poorly despite their efforts to increase the spread by not wearing masks, not closing businesses and not practicing social distantancing.

it may mean a higher rate of infections, but that metric alone means little in whether a cuntry succeeds or not. the two metrics that are being monitored closely by health sexperts in silicon valley are rate of hospitalization as a percentage of total population and rate of icu admissions as indication of severity of cases. if both metrics are low and trending down, the battle is over and war is won. all other metrics are noise.

Should be N: population requiring hospitalization for covid over D: population diagnosed with covid to get the rate...likewise for icu...well said these 2 will determine the severity of the disease
