I noticed that when they started to use posting of comments via the facebook mode the number of commenters dwindled to a fraction of what it was previously.

I also noticed that recently more and more of their articles are posted by anonymous authors. To put the disclaimer that the authors wish to remain anonymous because of "conflict of interest" comes across as a cop out.
