TOC website under DDoS attack by unknown sources

Hi everyone, As of midnight yesterday, 9 December 2010, The Online Citizen’s website has been incapacitated by what is known as a DDOS (Denial-of-Service) attack from unknown sources. ...
theonlinecitizen TOC is back. The attack was a massive one, seemingly. It lasted some 18 hours. It involved thousands of connections per second to our site. We don't think we're that popular to attract such a volume of interest from overseas where the attack seem to have originated, a number of countries. TOC was the only site targeted on the server.
theonlinecitizen After we posted the notice of the attacks on our website, the attacks have doubled. The site is still down although it can be accessed once in a while, if you're lucky. We're still working on resolving the problem. Thanks so much for your patience.
