It is quite disheartening to read again in the news that a young boy has just jump down from his condo, leaving a note to his parents telling them he is sorry to have let them down in his school and do not want to burden them anymore.
There is something wrong the with parents and our education systems nowadays.
The GEN-Y kids are a very fragile lot and need to be handle with extreme care and we have to nip this problem in the bud before more kids bodies ended up at these hotspot namely MRT track and HDB void deck.
This picture is exactly the same when i am at the turfclub racetrack when horseowners friend walk up to me and ask me to bet on their horse(sons) saying bro bet on my horse(son),he is a very smart horse(son) sure to win.(luckily i know his horse is not so smart and did not jump in the bandwagon)
The horse as usual eat grass and he blame the jockey(teacher) or Trainer(school)
and transfer him to a better trainer and a better jockey.
This jerks just refuse to admit that their horse is a donkey.
of course as a parent i also dont want my son to waste his bloody time at the void deck strumming his guitar.. i meant there has to be a balance.
we must remember every human has a memory GB,some 1GB,2GB and 4GB,you cannot one shot force and ram upgrade to 6GB or 8GB, any tom dick or harry will know they will crash sooner or later, its common sense.
Just let them be natural, their talent will be shown gradually.
When i was young my dad did not pressure us,
the only time was when my ear was pull when some jerk complaint to him that i've the habit of pulling up the girls skirt to check the color of their underwear in school and was cane.(thank GOD i've since top this habit)
he is very understanding because i always sing this song to him.
when i was just a little boy i ask my mother what will i be,
will i be handsome will i be rich,
heres wat she say to me
whatever will be will be,the future's not ours to see..
I seriously urge MOE to make it compulsory for all parents to sing this song to their kids.
