Dear readers & TNP journalists
We thank you all for your concerns and comments, positive or otherwise.
We have made our stand very clear through our editor Pamela that we are not the subject of the investigation related to Dr Joseph Ong and his fiasco with MP Lee Bee Wah one year ago. Dr Joseph Ong is also not on our editorial team past and present, PERIOD.
Although TNP journalist have tried (unsuccessfully) to “hyperlink” Dr Joseph Ong to TR to sensationalise her story, she did in the process (pointed out by our reader FE II), unintentionally provided free advertising for us which have resulted in a massive traffic spike on our servers and site ranking.
Some readers have suggested a tic-for-tat at the journalist but that is not the way we function or a belief we subscribe to (although we were very tempted to do so). We do have a few journalists from SPH and ranking officers from within the system who are on very “good” terms with members of our editorial team. Thus it is not difficult to reciprocate her “kindness” if we are forced to.
Having said that, we appeal to TNP jounalist to not “see us no up“, evident from their 2nd article “describing and introducing” our site. You know where you stand and so do we. Remember that the ART OF WAYANG was started by our “forefathers”, (ie:WAYANG PARTY) and not TNP.
Please accord us the respect as a fellow human being, fellow Singaporean or fellow journalist, (your choice) as we have accorded you with the same.
Thank you.

P/S: Please forgive typo if you come across any as my keyboard just had coffee.

To prove a point to the above statement, the said journalist is born in 1986 and her NRIC contains the following digits : 123568?
We had wanted to carry and sensationalise a story on the said journalist who is now the subject of an investigation ordered by the Ministry of Home Affairs into her alleged “friendship” with the police force in getting the juicy details about Dr Joseph Ong but our editors voted against it (2 for, 5 against) out of respect for a fellow journalist which is why it is only mention in small print (ie: here as a comment rather than a headline article splashed with all her confidential particulars). Providing free advertising for TR was a strong mitigating factor for our editors to vote against the idea.
