In Singapore, many of our engineers enter into the financial field to market insurance and financial products. It is wasteful to train them in engineering when they are likely to work in the financial field.

The problem in Singapore is that engineers are paid too low and the financial sector pays too high.

There is nothing "financial" about selling these products, these bank staff are so bad in it they can only cheat the money of 80 year old aunties who can't understand English.
