TJS "vs" SPP and "responsible" press

The press reported that TJS was behind the SPP split and he was unwelcomed by the party.

The funny thing is, both factions of SPP denied it.

If it is true, either one side will divulge it, esp Chiam's side. No one would have any benefit denying it.

So where did the press get the news? Even TRE did not report such a thing.

That is why I surround the "vs" and "responsible" with inverted commas. "Responsible press" was a term used by GCT during I believe the JBJ defamation trial.

Both sides are trying to cut loss by denying. The TJS side denying because there's loss of face because he was rejected. The CST side denying because there's loss of face that TJS could cause such an upheaval in SPP. Both sides know it's safe to deny since neither side has anything to gain but everything to lose and won't contradict each other's denial.

Just like when he said "swiss standard of living" and "more good years, he forgot to add "for me".
