I'm so tired of smartphones. Wherever you go human interaction is reduced to a minimum because of these addictive devices. A root cause of many social ills in my opinion. What do you think? Share your experiences.

What's more worrying are people who gaze into their smartphones and don't look at where or who they're walking into.

An accident waiting to happen.

Just spend some time on the popular park connectors on the weekend and you will see it happening a lot. Mostly cyclists hitting pedestrians who think crossing the cycling lane while staring at their phones is cool. Worse, they even blame the cyclists afterwards for being reckless.

Telling them to look where they are going is quite common for me these days.
Then again, perhaps I simply don't understand the fascination.

Smartphones in hands of dumb people
Makes pedestrian walkways a minefield
In extraordinary times they are excellent
Protests organised at a moment's notice
Can't be disrupted by agent provocateurs
Without someone snapping some pictures
Leaders are moving targets or invisible
Followers amassed and dispersed digitally
