Tiong movies are nothing more than crass propaganda these days. Even that recent Ne Zha cartoon was the same.
At least back in the day, during the prime years of Zhang Yimou and Gong Li, you had excellent award-winning Tiong movies.

zhang yimou did not loose his mojo. i enjoy his recent works 影 n 满江红, though ze latter iz rather propagandist.
