It is almost impossible now to find stationery shops in Singapore. Do u agree ?

These bookstores could have survived if they converted their businesses to tuition centres and maids agencies

Jelita is a nice place. Once upon a time it had Delifrance on the first floor. Today Delifrance has shifted to the second floor.

Also on the second floor, Times bookstore, a toy shop, a barber shop, Guardian pharmacy.

its more and more dificult to sustain....esp if they don't have an unique selling point. MPH, Times, Popular, Borders....Kinokuniya still standing..though their taka flagship has shrunk over the years.

Big Bookshop was the place to be for us low SES heartlander kids.

It had an amazing toy section, puts Toys R'Us outlets to shame.

And if you wanted to sian MGS girls, the McDonalds at the old King Albert Park was the place to be. A swarm of them would be eating and studying there after school.
