No mention army boots?

Actually, SAF issued No. 4 boots not bad. A land rover rolled over my left foot during my NS days. The toe cap of the boot was dented and deformed, but my toes were only slightly bruised and blue black.

All boots with steel toes are the good to kick some balls. As I'm from the marine heavy industry, I have been wearing Red Wings boots for some 18 years now. My first Red Wing was pure US made model. Given to me by a senior colleague who ordered the wrong size. Lasted me a good 14 years. Changed the soles to Vibram sole , repair shop did a brilliant makeover on my 1st boots. Quality dropped after the Commies started making Red Wings work boots.
Red Wing are (were) the gold standard. The classic ones are bestest, people pay top dollar to have them repaired and refurbished.
