TigerAir delay 12 no drink no food.

Title reads "no drink no food"!

So the meal coupon given out to each passenger is for what purpose? Buy perfume?

Sit inside plane for 5 hour no drink. That big problem.
TigerAir should not make them sit inside the plane not moving with no drink for 5 hour.
Meal voucher giving out for what?
After maybe 8 hour to get something to eat in airport.

That's a looong time on tarmac, with problems and resistance on de-planing. Heard over the radio this morning, voucher was thb200 (S$8) ..not get you very far with airport prices
 
I was on SIA at one time sitting on tarmac for 2 hours while they tried to fix the food heaters and they could not fix them so captain decided to take off and no food served during that flight.

just a short few hours flight so no big deal
 
add another $2 and get an onboard massage from the cabin crew. Add another $5 if you want the pilots to do the massage.

Must have a regulation max. plane on tarmac 2 hour. Is a hell keep sitting in plane not flying for 2 hour or more.
Toilet maybe out of water because plane loaded base on plane type and flight hour.

Tiger Air should be find for no allow the passenger to alight for sitting in Tarmac for more than 2 hour.
What should the TigerAir comment. If someone die will inside the plane just sitting there for few hour.
 
Bangkok to Singapore 3 hours and 10 minutes!
They stopped half way in the air to do repair work or what!
Flight time is 2 hours. Think departure was thai time (0250) and arrival sg time (+1 hour time diff, or 0600)
 
SINGAPORE : A Tiger Airways flight from Bangkok to Singapore was delayed for more than 12 hours.

Some 50 irate passengers were unhappy with the way the problem was handled.

One passenger, Moses De Laure, said: "They made us wait for about an hour. Then they said that there are some problems with the flight. Then they said we have to wait for another half an hour, and that half an hour turned out to be five hours on the plane alone. And they never offered a drink."

Passengers said Tiger Airways flight number TR2105 was supposed to leave Bangkok on Wednesday afternoon.

The airline had told them if the delay lasted till midnight, they would arrange accommodation.

But nothing happened as Tiger Airways staff said the Singapore side did not make any arrangements.

Meal coupons were given out to each passenger.

The flight finally took off at 2.50am on Thursday and the plane landed at 6am.

However, more than half of the passengers onboard refused to leave the plane, demanding a proper explanation and compensation.

Security personnel were called in and the passengers were asked to leave.

Tiger Airways said a technical fault caused the delay and it has apologised for the inconvenience caused.

I m surprised that despite all the things that has been happening to Tiger, there has been no dismissal or termination or replacement of anyone in their management or directors.

Its like as if there are no need to change, no need to take responsiblity and just carry on.

Fining a company (telco, public transport, airline etc) for shoddy service will not help at all.

For one thing, the fine money will be going into the pockets of some civil service paper pusher dipshits. Also, the amount that's fined is statistically insignificant as compared to its revenue.

It's like fining a multi-million dollar footballer $400K. It's peanuts.
What really hurts is a 8-match or 12-match ban.

Instead of fining a company, may I suggest an advertising ban of one year be imposed on the company. No advertising at all: no printed ads, no Internet ads, not tv/radio ads, no wall posters, no Clear Channel posters, no sms text ads, no distribution of leaflets, no roadshows, no lucky draws, no joint promotions. Total advertising blackout.

That should hurt the company deeply, and make it think twice before fucking up a second time.
