Low-cost carrier Tiger Airways has dropped the leaping tiger logo and changed its name to tigerair.

The changes are part of a rebranding campaign that reflects a more contemporary look and feel, the airline said on Wednesday.

Group chief executive Koay Peng Yen who unveiled the new look at at event at Changi Airport said : "We have initiated a series of changes since last year and this brand identity should be seen as a reinforcement of our commitment towards a better and bolder tigerair,"

Apart from just point-to-point flights, the airline now offers customers more services such as convenient transfers at Changi Airport to partner carriers.

Was wondering what happened to Tiger Air. No point changing their name. What they should do is replace the management responsible for all those "honest mistakes"

At the least the logo look better than the old blase leaping tiger, like the tiger balm! Flew one once with them SHORT DISTANCE, to KL...AirAsia getting too costly...

There's no point polishing a turd or rearranging deck chairs when the ship is sinking. This rebranding exercise is futile.

It should name like ............. Chipdian airline - sell cheap air tickets as like hire cheap FT Indians to steal jobs.

Its the same like Certis CISCO, how hard they tried to rebrand CISCO, Eventually, the rot remains within and the public negative perception remains. The entity that benefited are the paid consultants and media organisations.

Then it will be as confusing as Air China (prc airline) and China Airlines (taiwan airline).
