Those funds came from every citizen whom had contributed in either direct or indirect taxes which forms revenue for our treasury. We, the 61%, understand the economic situation that many are facing in these troubled times, & thru our Elected legislators & Cabinet, are dispensing such funds to help. We wish we could help all with more, but there are many many social expenditure that are critically needed, to uplift lives....
It is not much, but as long as we can afford it, we will help, not just citizens but every biz entity, local or foreign whom had trusted our national policies on Economics. Such funds may seem little, but with at least 3million citizens qualified to receive such, extrapolate it, & will mean much money in billions which WILL be CIRCULATED, will eventually uplift also biz entrepreneurs whom are realistic. Billions will go a long way.
For those whom had not received such funds, all they need to do is to log on using Singpass ( please, PLEASE log on from a secure hp or home computer, watch out for scams ) & check with the official GSTV website if they are qualified ( which many are ) based upon means test. It may take some time to credit the funds to a personal account as we are talking about MILLIONS of citizens.
Some had hurtfully commented that it is a chicken wing that we are giving & expect a whole chicken later from citizens. That is a half truth. A chicken wing had been given, but the entire chicken in return will come from inspired contributors to our nation into our critical treasury, from citizens to local or foreign biz entities, that we will leave no citizen behind, more so in these troubled times, with rise in food & medical costs.
