SINGAPORE:
A croupier at Marina Bay Sands (MBS) casino and her two accomplices will be charged in court on Saturday with conspiracy to commit criminal breach of trust.
Police said the 47-year-old Filipino croupier was arrested on November 29 after the casino operator reported that one of its croupiers was overpaying her accomplices at a gaming table.
The croupier's boyfriend, 46, and her daughter, 23, were also arrested.
Police believe the three suspects had cheated the casino of about S$50,000. They seized S$16,917 and about 1,000 Malaysian ringgit, as well as S$6,623.50 worth of casino chips.
If convicted, each may be sentenced to jail of up to 15 years and fined.
