Three Singaporeans attacked in JB car chase

THREE Singaporeans were caught in a terrifying car chase during an attack by a mob in Johor Baru.
They were pursued for 7km by 15 to 20 people after a dispute at a carpark, one of the men told The Straits Times yesterday.
The attack continued even when they reached the Malaysian Customs building, where the mob smashed their car's windows with a steering lock and ripped its seats.
The men had gone to the ferry terminal at Stulang Laut for drinks on Sunday. They were leaving the carpark at 3am when the trouble started.
Mr Shaun Tan, one of the men, said: 'There was only one lane out of the carpark, so many cars were trying to get into it. Half of our car was in the lane when a red car beside us started honking at us.'
Mr Tan, 29, said they were unable to reverse, so they ignored the red car. Shortly afterwards, a man at the gate of the ferry terminal tried to stop their car from leaving the compound. 'We thought it was the police, so we stopped and my friend who was driving rolled down his window,' he added.
